Just go to any of the OTHER Bahamian islands. There's 29 "Family Islands". Eleuthera is beautiful, it has pink sand and very few people outside of the cities on either end (they're moderate size towns). But oustide of New Providence and Grand Bahama islands they are all nice, the people are friendly, and you'll have a good relaxing time without a bunch of tourists all around.

Personal favorite would be Tobago. You have a small choice of very good locations from Blue Waters inn at the North of the island to The Hilton at the South East or Coco Reef at the South West.

Again my personal favorite is Blue Waters. Check out trip advisor and read between the lines. The place is remote and clean and in a beautiful setting. They also have a couple of bungalows on the beach which allow even more privacy. The lack of Television and phone to my mind is a plus. You can always make a call from reception. If you enjoy diving or bird watching or walking then you could not have found a better place and a boat trip to Little Tobago is a must.

The Hilton is also remote although only a few miles from the capital Scarborough and sits on the Atlantic coast. Nice pool, OK setting but it could be anywhere. You will not have as much interaction with the locals.

Coco Reef has its own beach and going off displayed prices seems very expensive. It does do deals though and there are some fully inclusive deals as well. Some of the sea view rooms at the front are blocked by palm trees though. It is just a short walk to the nightlife and some nice restaurants and perfectly safe if you use common sense.

Getting there may not be direct. Miami, New York or Toronto direct to Port of Spain (Trinidad) then a 15 min puddle jumper to Crown Point (Tobago) or three or four flights a week direct from London to Crown Point.

Happy honeymoon wherever you decide on.

Check out St. Lucia. It's absolutely gorgeous! For a more secluded, romantic setting, I'd suggest The Ladera Resort in Soufriere. It's very scenic and relaxing...Check it out!

St. Lucia or St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
