Has anyone ever been to Sandals La Toc at St. Lucia?

Interested in going to Sandals La Toc resort for our honeymoon and wondered if it was better to book through Sandals directly, or go through a travel agent. Any advice on flights (layovers in Miami or JFK, etc). Any info is appreciated.

If it's for a HONEYMOON then by all means, use a Travel Agent.. it doesn't cost any more and you have a better chance of getting exactly what you want.



The Sandals La Toc is just another Sandals Cookie Cutter resort.. but a nice cookie cutter resort. The great part of going there is the Island of St. Lucia itself.. It's the most FEMALE FRIENDLY island in the Caribbean and it has so much to offer. Don't miss the SPA and the Special mud baths for two and the rain forest.. and the White and Black sand beaches are all a good reason to go there. But SANDALS is not the ONLY resort on the island.. here are some others you can look at

It's going to be the same price regardless. But if you're more independent with your honeymoon, then just book it on your own. Being that you're proactive with the specs of your honeymoon, I will suggest a couple of things:



Book your flights going into UVF (Hewanorra Airport) You will most likely have a single connection from ATL, MIA and CLT) JFK is non-stop (seasonally)



Sandals La Toc is a beautiful choice for your honeymoon. Being that you're right in the heart of Castries, take advantage of the local market there and the "block party"... ask the front desk when you arrive.



Also it would be advisable to take out insurance

I am a big advocate of going through a travel agent. Our travel agent has helped us so much, saved us $$ and when we had a problem it was great having a human to call! The biggest mis-conception is that it costs more to use an agent but the truth is it has always cost us less - she says she gets compensated from the resort she books us at not us. So yes use a travel agent and enjoy all the extra perks and service you receive! I have a great agent who has clients all over the states if you need someone shoot me an email and I will send you her contact info, nice part is she works all different hours and answers emails really quickly! - good Luck and congrats on your upcoming wedding!
